Standards and MethodologiesStandards and Methodologies This section of the IT Infrastructure LOB Resource Library provides access to materials on widely accepted standards and methodologies for IT Service Management. This includes guidance documents, best practices, frameworks, and certification standards and requirements. The internationally accepted set of guidance materials for IT governance and the IT Service Management framework described in Control OBjectives for information and related Technology (COBiT) is available through this section of the library. Widely accepted methodologies such as the best practices outlined in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) are described; in addition, access to resources such as the ISO BIP 0005 Managers¹ Guide that provide assistance in utilizing ITIL practices to obtain ISO 20000/17799 certification is provided.
